Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali said that the current national team was capable of winning the forthcoming Champions Trophy.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV, Ali said, "I back completely the fast bowlers that they will go for the win. The Champions Trophy will be a successful event, hopefully, which will be retained by Pakistan."
Speaking about the selection of the Pakistan squad in the Champions Trophy, Ali said, "The selectors are having a better understanding. The combination, which they [selectors] have made, will turn out to be better for Pakistan."
"What I feel is that it would have been better to go with the regular openers and three spinners," he added.
"However, I would like to urge people to rally behind the selected squad for the Champions Trophy," said Ali.
Giving his take about Pakistan's former captain Babar Azam, Ali said, "King Babar Azam will also score runs. From 2016 to 2024, Babar Azam has proven his mettle."
Making predictions about the semi-finalists of the tournament, Ali said, "I am picking up Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Australia as the semi-finalists."
