Federal Minister for Investment Board, Communications, and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan represented Pakistan at the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, held in Morocco.
The high-level conference saw participation from 193 countries, with 260 ministers and global experts discussing key road safety challenges and infrastructure improvements.
Abdul Aleem Khan attended the opening session, where he engaged in discussions with international stakeholders on enhancing Pakistan’s road infrastructure and safety measures.
On the sidelines of the conference, Abdul Aleem Khan held a crucial meeting with Turkish Minister of Transport Abdulkadir Uraloglu. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in road infrastructure and Pakistan’s role in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Highlighting Turkey’s rapid development, Abdul Aleem Khan called it a role model for Pakistan and emphasized the importance of deeper collaboration.
In response, Turkish Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu reaffirmed Turkey’s strong ties with Pakistan and expressed his desire to further enhance cooperation in the transport sector.
The conference concluded with a collective commitment to improving global road safety standards and fostering stronger international partnerships in infrastructure development.
