Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly established new personal rules to balance family time with their growing royal responsibilities as they prepare for their future roles as King and Queen.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, currently on a half-term holiday with their children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—are said to have made a commitment to prioritise family getaways amid their official duties.
According to InTouch Weekly, the royal couple has vowed to take a brief trip every month this year, ensuring quality time together despite their increasingly demanding schedules.
“Some trips will be for a few days, others may be just a night or two, but the key is making time for each other,” a source told the publication.
The revelation comes after Prince William, who serves as President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), notably skipped this year’s BAFTA awards in favour of a private holiday with his family.
The couple reportedly enjoyed a peaceful retreat where the Princess of Wales was able to ski again, an activity she deeply cherishes.
Kate’s decision to embrace a more balanced lifestyle follows her nine-month-long battle with cancer last year, which has given her a renewed perspective on life.
The source added that while the Princess remains fully committed to her royal responsibilities, she also believes “life is too precious not to enjoy it.”
