The price of gold in Pakistan reached an all-time high on Thursday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,000, settling at the highest ever Rs309,000, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold surged by Rs857, taking it to Rs264,917.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a hike of a minor $9 on Thursday, reaching $2,953 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also surged by a major Rs28, reaching Rs3,468 per tola.
