Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Saba Talpur has dominated in the NA-213 by-election in Umerkot.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results obtained from 479 polling stations, Talpur surpassed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Lal Malhi, by amassing 158,446 votes.
Malhi secured second place by obtaining 79,790 votes.
Nisar Khuhro felicitated Talpur on her potential victory.

It is pertinent to note that the late, Nawab Yousaf Talpur had secured a commanding victory in the 2018 general elections, garnering 175,162 votes.
His nearest rival, Mir Amanullah Talpur of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), trailed with 44,061 votes.
