The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced reduced working hours for employees of federal ministries and departments during the holy month of Ramazan 2025.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) issued an official circular outlining the revised schedule, which will be in effect throughout the month.
According to the circular, working hours for federal entities will be from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, while offices will operate from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays.
FAHR further stated that ministries and federal bodies would have the option to implement flexible working arrangements or remote work policies, provided they remain within the daily working hour limits set by the government, the state-run WAM news agency reported.
Additionally, federal departments will be permitted to allow up to 70 percent of their workforce to work from home on Fridays during Ramazan, subject to approval and regulations.
