Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees are facing severe difficulties as the airline’s staff ticketing portal, the "Hit-It" system, has been inactive for the past 10 days.
The disruption has left many employees, particularly those planning to travel for Umrah, facing difficulties in getting tickets from the portal.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the system is currently undergoing an upgrade, but there is no confirmed timeline for its restoration. Employees are usually entitled to annual domestic and international tickets based on their grade, but the ongoing system failure has left many frustrated.
In response to the issue, PIA has introduced an alternative ticketing system, the Crew Resource Control (CRC) system, to facilitate employees until the main portal is restored. However, staff members claim the alternative system is not as efficient, leading to additional delays and inconveniences.
Despite repeated inquiries, the airline has not provided a specific date for when the "Hit-It" system will be fully operational again.
