The price of gold in Pakistan saw a massive drop on Wednesday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,400, settling at the highest ever Rs306,300, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs2,058, taking it to Rs262,602.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a drop of $24 on Wednesday, reaching $2,916 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also plunged by a major Rs36, reaching Rs3,314 per tola.
