The price of chakki atta has been fixed at Rs100 per kilogram, as per the latest notification issued by the Karachi commissioner.
According to details, the retail price of fine atta has been fixed at Rs92 per kilogram. These prices are part of the government's efforts to regulate the cost of essential commodities in the city.
The notification was officially released by the Karachi commissioner to maintain control over flour prices, ensuring that consumers are not burdened with inflated costs.
Separately, two days back, in Sialkot, the price of chicken meat had surged by Rs107 per kg, now selling at Rs700 per kg. The price of mutton has jumped from Rs1,800 to Rs2,700 per kg, while beef prices had risen from Rs800 to Rs1,200 per kg.
In Karachi, chicken meat prices continue to rise, with rates exceeding Rs700 per kg, despite the official price being Rs650 per kg. The price of live chicken has also soared to Rs500 per kg.'
