A 23-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in Johar Town, Lahore, in what police have confirmed as a case of domestic violence.
The victim, identified as Sana, was initially reported to have been shot by her two-and-a-half-year-old child, a claim made by the accused.
However, after further investigation, police have dismissed this version of events and arrested the husband.
“The accused, who is a lawyer, tried to shift the blame onto his child to mislead authorities, but evidence suggested otherwise. The murder weapon has been recovered, and the suspect is in custody,” a police spokesperson said.
The couple had two children, and the body of the victim has been sent for post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
