A pivotal moment in history was commemorated across the world on March 23 as Pakistanis living abroad shared their love and devotion towards their homeland ahead of Pakistan Day.
The day marked the anniversary of the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan.
The resolution further strengthened the struggle of Muslims in the subcontinent, with the vision of an independent nation becoming a reality.
Overseas Pakistanis, though thousands of miles away from their homeland, expressed their deep connection to the country. Speaking passionately about their love for Pakistan, one expatriate stated, "Yes, it is true that we are in a foreign land, far from our beloved homeland, but it is also true that wherever we live, our hearts beat for Pakistan."
Another overseas Pakistani shared his sentiments, saying, "There are no hearts in our chests, only Pakistan's heartbeat. The name of Pakistan resides in the passion that stirs within our breath."
Whenever approached by others and asked about their identity, a proud expat remarked, "Whenever anyone asks us our names, we proudly tell them we are from Pakistan."
Pakistan, for many overseas Pakistanis, is more than just a country; it represents honour, pride, and legacy. "Pakistan is our glory, our pride, our pride," said one expat, reflecting the collective sentiment of many.
In unison, the expats voiced their enduring love for their country, shouting together, "Long live Pakistan!" Their words served as a reminder that regardless of where they are in the world, their hearts and spirits remain firmly anchored in Pakistan.
