The One Piece franchise is stronger than ever, with new manga, anime, and Netflix’s hit live-action adaptation keeping fans hooked.
Now, a fresh spin-off, Koisuru ONE PIECE, is set to debut, bringing a unique twist to the beloved series.
Revealed at AnimeJapan 2025, Koisuru ONE PIECE (One Piece in Love) is based on Daiki Ihara’s 2018 manga. The story follows three high school students who share names with Straw Hat Pirates and form a One Piece fan club. The spin-off promises a fun meta take on the One Piece fandom.
The series will premiere in April 2025 on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok in Japan, featuring top-tier voice actors like Ryōsuke Kanemoto (Little Witch Academia), Ayane Sakura (Sakamoto Days), and Yūichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen). Toei Animation is leading the project, ensuring high-quality production.
Since its debut in 1997, One Piece has shattered records, earning a Guinness World Record for the most copies published of a manga series by a single author. With over 100 manga volumes and 1,000+ anime episodes, its impact on pop culture remains unmatched.
Netflix’s live-action adaptation, released in 2023, also proved to be a massive success. With an 86% critics’ score and a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, it even secured two Children’s and Family Emmy Awards in 2025 for Outstanding Stunt Coordination and Outstanding Original Song.
With Season 2 officially wrapped, fans are eagerly awaiting its release. While the exact premiere date remains under wraps, new characters and high-stakes adventures are expected to take center stage.
