There is no doubt that Mahrang Langove and her party, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, have been sabotaging peace and law and order in Balochistan for the past one and a half years under the guise of the so-called Baloch rights movement against the state, driven by foreign influence.
Despite Mahrang Langove's violent actions, illegal statements, and anti-state slogans, the state and security agencies have allowed her the freedom of expression and the right to protest peacefully.
After the Jafar Express terrorist incident, Mahrang Langove crossed all limits and red lines and, along with her associates, forcibly took the bodies of the terrorists from Civil Hospital Quetta. These bodies were being kept in the hospital for crucial DNA tests and post-mortem. No civilised society can allow such support for terrorists, and no law permits this unlawful act.
Mahrang Langove, who has long been involved in anti-state activities and has made unfounded allegations against the state, has now been arrested. This arrest became necessary because, this time, Mahrang Langove directly aided terrorists, crossing a red line and making her arrest unavoidable under the law.
The anti-national Mahrang Langove stormed Civil Hospital in Quetta, where the post-mortem of deceased terrorists was being conducted to gather further information and apprehend more terrorists. During this, Mahrang Langove attempted to seize several bodies, prompting the authorities to intervene and enforce the law.
She was arrested and taken to Quetta Jail.
Previously, three people were killed in the gunfire by violent protesters of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee during a protest, and an FIR has been filed against Mahrang Langove in connection with this incident.
It is important that, whether in Pakistan or any other country, if an anti-national element or individual crosses the lines as defined by law in the name of freedom of expression, there can be no forgiveness or leniency.
What kind of freedom of expression is it when these anti-national elements attack hospitals, aid terrorists, and even attempt to seize the bodies of terrorists? This was the red line, after which Mahrang Langove was arrested, and a formal case was filed against her. This case against her is in accordance with the constitution and law of any civilized country.
There is no exception to this, as no individual is above the protection and security of the nation.
Given these facts, all countries and international human rights organizations that position themselves as global human rights defenders should condemn Mahrang Langove's anti-state actions.
This is especially relevant for figures like Malala Yousafzai, who are trying to present themselves as human rights activists without fully understanding the situation.
No state can permit individuals, including figures like Mahrang Langove, to attack hospitals under the guise of freedom of expression. When they assault and seize the bodies of terrorists, they should not be exempt from law and legal action.
