A suicide bomber detonated himself near Sardar Akhtar Mengal’s sit-in at Lak Pass, Levies officials reported.
According to Levies, one person was injured in the explosion.
The attacker attempted to enter the sit-in but was stopped by security personnel and party workers. Upon being intercepted, he detonated himself in an open field nearby.
Levies further stated that the attacker arrived on a motorcycle with an accomplice, who managed to escape following the blast. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
