Ali Raza (4–21) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (52) powered Peshawar Zalmi to a massive 120-run victory against Multan Sultans in the ninth match of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
MULTAN SULTANS' INNINGS
Chasing a 228-run target, the Sultans were bundled out for 107 inside the 16th over. With the exception of Usman Khan (44) and Shai Hope (20), none of the batters showed significant resistance with the willow.
Mohammad Rizwan (15), Kamran Ghulam (6), Michael Bracewell (3), Ashton Turner (0), Iftikhar Ahmed (2), David Willey (13), and Usama Mir (1) failed to show resistance with the bat.
For the Zalmi, Ali Raza (4–21) was the standout bowler and perplexed the Sultans’ batters.
Arif Yaqoob (3–20) picked up three wickets.
Mitchell Owen (2–2) bagged two wickets.
Saim Ayub (1–12) took a scalp.
Luke Wood (0–22) and Alzarri Joseph (0–30) remained wicketless.
PESHAWAR ZALMI'S INNINGS
Earlier, after opting to bat first, Zalmi posted 227 for 7 on the scorecard after facing an early hiccup. Saim Ayub (2) and Babar Azam (2) failed to show any significant resistance with the bat.
But it was Cadmore who turned the tide for the Zalmi, notching a staggering 30-ball 52, laced with two boundaries and five sixes.
Mohammad Haris (45), Abdul Samad (40), Hussain Talat (37), and Mitchell Owen (34) also showed significant resistance with the bat.
Alzarri Joseph (5) and Luke Wood (0) remained unbeaten.
For the Sultans, David Willey (2–36), Michael Bracewell (2–37), and Ubaid Shah (2–40) bagged two wickets apiece.
Iftikhar Ahmed (1–5) took a wicket.
Usama Mir (0–51) and Akif Javed (0–52) remained wicketless.

Earlier, the Zalmi had decided to bat first against Multan Sultans in the ninth match of the tenth edition of the domestic marquee tournament.
According to details, the fixture was important for both teams to gain momentum, as neither team had got off the mark with a victory so far in the premium tournament.
