Approval has been granted to construct two new airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad.
Sources divulged on Tuesday that the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has also formed a committee consisting of officers to purchase land for the Sukkur and Muzaffarabad airports, sources said.
The Works and Development Department of the PAA had started work on both new airports, sources said.
The services of consultants and other experts will be sought, sources added.
The construction of Sukkur International Airport and Muzaffarabad International Airport will cost billions of rupees, sources said.
The PAA had approved the project.
The construction of both airports will be completed within the next five years, sources said.
