Multan Sultans ended their losing streak by defeating Lahore Qalandars by 33 runs in the 12th match of the PSL X at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
According to the details, the Qalandars scored 195 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs and faced defeat by 33 runs.
For the Qalandars, Sikandar Raza performed well and scored a half-century, while Sam Billings contributed an innings of 43 runs. In addition, Fakhar Zaman scored 32, Abdullah Shafique 18 and Daryl Mitchell scored 19 runs.
For the Sultans, Ubaid Shah took three wickets, Mitchell Bracewell and Usama Mir claimed two wickets each, while David Willey and Josh Little took one wicket apiece.
Earlier, the Sultans won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a total of 228 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Yasir Khan opened the innings and took on the Lahore Qalandars bowlers, scoring 87 runs off 44 balls.
Iftikhar Ahmed played an unbeaten innings of 40 runs, while Usman Khan added 39 and captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 32 runs.
The Qalandars delivered a poor bowling performance. Shaheen Shah Afridi took one wicket in four overs, conceding 43 runs, while Asif Afridi showed some improvement and claimed one wicket in four overs, giving away 26 runs.
Rishad Hossain took two wickets in four overs. In addition, Sikandar Raza took one wicket.
This match had marked the return of the domestic marquee tournament in Multan.
