While Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner continue to keep their romance mostly low-key, their relationship has been making waves, from cozy Coachella appearances to private moments at the Oscars.
Now, in a rare and candid interview, Chalamet’s mother, Nicole Flender, has opened up about what she thinks of Kylie — and it’s all positive.
In a recent conversation with a magazine, the New York-based real estate agent and proud mom described Kylie as “lovely” and “very nice to me.” Despite keeping her distance from the spotlight, Flender has warmed up to Kylie, especially after spending quality time with the couple.
“She’s lovely. She’s very nice to me,” Flender said, offering her stamp of approval for the relationship that fans have been speculating about for over a year.
Nicole also revealed that she was with the couple at the 2025 Oscars, where a heartfelt moment caught fans’ attention — Kylie gave up her seat so Flender could sit beside Timothée during the Best Actor nomination announcement. The selfless gesture sparked praise online, with one source telling Page Six:
“Timothée didn’t ask Kylie to switch seats with his mom, but he thought it was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.”
Though Chalamet didn’t win the award — which went to Adrien Brody for The Brutalist, Kylie remained supportive, with the source adding, “Kylie is so proud of Timothée despite losing.”
When asked about Timothée’s recent real estate purchase near Kylie’s residence, Flender admitted she wasn't consulted.
“Did he ask for my advice? No,” she laughed. “He said, ‘Guess what? I bought a house.”
It seems both her children are carving their own paths — with Timothée building a life in LA and Pauline Chalamet settling in Paris. But Flender is sticking to her New York roots and has no plans to chase her kids around the globe.
Despite not having made their official red carpet debut as a couple, Kylie and Timothée have been spotted at numerous high-profile events together, including this year’s Coachella, where a sweet moment lit up social media. Their love story, which quietly began in 2023, continues to unfold in public glimpses — and with mom’s seal of approval, fans are now even more invested.
