A horrifying chapter of history resurfaced as Khalistan Movement’s leader brought to light the truths buried beneath the Chattisinghpora massacre, echoing from the shadows of political manipulation and military brutality.
The leader of the Khalistan Movement, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, stated that the massacre of Sikhs in Chattisinghpora occurred 25 years ago during the tenure of BJP Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He said, “The Chattisinghpora massacre took place at a time when US President Bill Clinton was visiting India.”
According to Pannun, during Clinton’s presence in India, five local individuals had been branded as Pakistani terrorists and subsequently killed. He asserted, “In 2006, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) admitted that all five of those killed were innocent.”
He disclosed that the truths behind the Chattisinghpora incident came to light after 25 years. An Indian Army captain who had led the operation revealed the facts. Pannun revealed, “After remaining a fugitive for many years, Indian Army Captain Rathore met me in the United States.
Captain Rathore came to my office and made shocking revelations about the Chattisinghpora massacre.” He added that Captain Rathore visited his office in New York on several occasions. He said that the Indian Army had been searching for Captain Rathore for a long time.
Captain Rathore confessed that the Sikhs had been brutally murdered in Chattisinghpora. “On 20 March 2000, we were ordered to kill the Sikhs in Chattisinghpora,” said Rathore. He stated, “I led the Indian Army’s firing squad. A false flag operation was executed in Chattisinghpora during Bill Clinton’s visit. I was on a covert mission in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, under disguise. We entered Chattisinghpora in the guise of Mujahideen. The people of Chattisinghpora trusted us.”
He disclosed that the BJP government intended to convince Bill Clinton that Pakistan supported terrorism. “We were commanded to kill all the Sikhs of Chattisinghpora,” said Rathore. He added that Brigadier J. S. of Rashtriya Rifles had led the operation.
Rathore recalled, “On the evening of 20 March, we lined up 35 Sikhs of the village against a wall. We were told that no Sikh should survive. Upon receiving the orders, we opened fire on the Sikhs of Chattisinghpora. After the initial firing, we fired again on the dead bodies to ensure none remained alive.”
He said, “After killing the Sikhs, we chanted the slogan ‘Jai Hind’. The Indian Army killed all the members of the firing squad one by one. The Indian government eliminated the entire squad to erase all evidence of the Chattisinghpora massacre.”
He further mentioned that he had fled to Europe before arriving in the United States.
Pannun remarked that the Chattisinghpora incident stood as a brutal tragedy orchestrated by the BJP government. “The question still remains: who was responsible for the Chattisinghpora massacre?” he asked. “Everyone knows that there is no statute of limitations on justice.”
