Pakistan assistant coach Azhar Mahmood has expressed interest in serving the national team as head coach.
Sources divulged that the former all-rounder will submit an application for the post of head coach. Mahmood, who was serving the Green Shirts as their assistant coach, had an agreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for two years.
Sources privy to the matter told that Mahmood was now looking to serve as head coach of the Pakistan national cricket team.
It is pertinent to note that the PCB had sought applications for the post of head coach until 4 May.
