Security forces on Saturday killed seven terrorists and injured six others in an exchange of fire in the general area of Ursoon, Chitral district.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the fire exchange took place after terrorists opened fire on a security forces' patrol.
The security personnel effectively engaged the terrorists' location and killed seven of them while six other terrorists were critically injured.
The ISPR further said that the sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
The locals of the area appreciated the operation by the security forces and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
The statement said that the security forces are determined to eliminate all terrorists from the country and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the people.
