The ongoing repatriation mission targeting Afghan nationals residing illegally in the country has reached a milestone, with more than 85,000 individuals successfully returning through the Chaman border.
The Torkham and Chaman borders have witnessed a steady stream of daily returns, with thousands of Afghan citizens opting to go back home voluntarily. On November 11 alone, a notable figure of 2,957 illegal Afghans left Pakistan for Afghanistan.
Breaking down the numbers, this group comprised 716 men, 691 women, and 1,550 children, constituting 678 families who were repatriated in 278 vehicles. This marks a continued effort to ensure that the repatriation process includes families and individuals alike.
