One of the lionesses at Bahawalpur Zoo has died. The lioness had been battling the illness for the past year. She gave birth to three cubs in sher bagh (lion gardens) in Bahawalpur Zoo.

Bahawalpur Zoo curator confirmed the news.

Zoo authorities said that the post-partum report will tell the reasons behind the demise of a lioness.
