In some good news for the country’s export industry, an increase of $77 million was recorded last month in domestic textile exports.
According to a report, Pakistan’s textile exports in October were worth $1.437 billion, while in September, the figure was $1.36 billion.
The exports of ready-made garments increased by 8.71% in October, as per the report, while there has been a 137% increase in cotton exports, 6.67% in towel exports, 5.18% in the export of bedsheets, and 13.94% in cotton cloth.
From July to October this year, domestic textile exports were worth $5.56 billion.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Pakistani Rupee closed trading at Rs285.27 against the US Dollar in the interbank market, after witnessing a decrease of 66 paisas.
By the end of the day, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Dollar ended the Rupee's upward climb as the Greenback appreciated by 0.05%.
