Pakistani actress Nimra Khan finally cleared the air about her car accident in 2014, dismissing rumours that she was drink-driving.
Nimra Khan revealed she had fainted due to overexertion and lack of sleep, causing her car to collide with a jeep at 180 km/h.
The actress described the terrifying moments following the crash, explaining how her unconscious body pressed down on the accelerator, preventing her from braking.
She emphasized that her survival was a miracle, considering the severity of her injuries, which included a damaged liver, broken glass embedded in her head, and protruding bones in her leg.
Before undergoing surgery, Khan's father had to sign an acknowledgment form acknowledging the potential risks associated with the anaesthesia, including kidney failure or brain haemorrhage.
Her family's fears grew when signs of brain injury were detected en route to the operating room. A full-body CT scan revealed extensive brain and liver damage.
Nimra Khan expressed her gratitude for surviving the accident, attributing it to her act of charity that morning and her regular midnight prayers.
She reiterated that she was not under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident and has never used them.
