The caretaker government on Thursday announced that the prices of petrol would remain unchanged at Rs281.34 and slashed high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 7 per litre, for the next fortnight.
In a notification, the Finance Division stated that “the government of Pakistan has decided to maintain the current prices of petrol for the next fortnight”.
It further said that the prices of Hi Speed Diesel (HSD) were slashed by Rs 7 and Rs3.82 per litre.
Furthermore, a reduction in the price of kerosene oil by Rs 3.82 per liter and a decrease in the price of light diesel oil by Rs 4.52 per liter.
The decision regarding the revised petroleum prices was given the green light by the caretaker prime minister, signifying the government’s commitment to mitigating financial burdens on the public, especially during a sensitive interim period.
The notification further stated that the new prices will come into effect from 12am (midnight December 1) and remain in place till December 15.
