The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a comprehensive weather forecast, indicating varying conditions across different regions of the country.
According to the latest update, the upper regions are expected to experience cloudy weather conditions with the likelihood of rain accompanied by strong winds, thunder, and snowfall in mountainous areas.
In the Pothohar region, Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and snowfall in the mountains. These areas are anticipated to witness a blend of rain and snow, potentially affecting travel and local activities.
On Friday, the forecast predicts diverse weather patterns across different regions. Islamabad is expected to have cold and dry weather and partly cloudy skies, while most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also encounter similar conditions. However, areas like Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Balakot may experience strong winds and thunderstorms.
Moving towards Punjab, most parts are expected to have cold and dry weather. Yet, specific regions, including Narowal, Sialkot, Okara, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Lahore, and several others, might witness light rain in the morning hours. Additionally, fog and smog are anticipated in several areas, impacting visibility during the morning.
In Balochistan, dry and cold weather is expected in most districts, whereas the northern areas might experience lower temperatures. Moreover, rain accompanied by strong winds, thunder, and snowfall is anticipated in the mountainous regions of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
