Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the interim government of the Afghan Taliban, has confirmed that the Kabul regime has invited Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Emir Maulana Fazlur Rehman to visit Afghanistan.
Afghanistan's interim government spokesman, responding to a question asked by SAMAA TV, said the Taliban and the people of Afghanistan did not want unrest in Pakistan.
“This is what we want to tell Maulana Fazlur Rahman,” Zabihullah Mujahid told SAMAA TV.
Mujahid said Maulana Fazlur Rehman will get to know about the Taliban's stance on the unrest in Pakistan and would convey to Islamabad.
The move came after Pakistan's civilian and military leadership along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs blamed Afghanistan for recent suicide bombings and deadly attacks on the security apparatus and civilians in parts of the country, including Bannu and Peshawar.
The terrorism uptick was directly related to the Afghan nationals who facilitated, coordinated, and executed terror attacks on security forces, using the U.S. leftover weapons.
Pakistan Army through ISPR statements and the caretaker prime minister through prime minister office statements and foreign office via weekly press briefings and demarche of Afghan representative in Islamabad conveyed to the Taliban government to stop the attacks of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) into Pakistan once and for all.
Afghan Taliban have denied the allegations but reiterated that unrest in Pakistan was not in favour of the Kabul regime.
Earlier, Special Representative for Afghanistan Asif Ali Durrani said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been carrying out terrorist attacks on Pakistan from Afghanistan and stated Kabul interim government must stop this process.
Asif Durrani said that "the peace [the Taliban] brought to Afg must also be brought to our borderlands."
He says TTP fighters in Afg, who he noted are using US weapons, should be "returned to Pakistan or neutralized."
On Dec 5, a solider embraced martyrdom in a fire exchange between the security forces and terrorists in the general area Sararogha in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that security forces effectively engaged the terrorists' location.
However, during an intense fire exchange, Sepoy Ahmed Ali, 26, hailing from district Charsadda fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom, the ISPR further said.
“Sanitisation operation was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area,” it added.
The ISPR also said that “[The] security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
