Internet sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan announced on Wednesday the election manifesto and song for the general elections.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Chahat said, “I will try my level best to get the bhaja as the election symbol."
He expressed his resolve to improve the sewerage system if he won the elections. “I want to see local body elections again.”.
Chahat will lock horns with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nauman from NA-128 Lahore.
Few days back, Chahat had thrown his hat in the political ring.
The celebrity singer had submitted his nomination papers for the upcoming elections, from NA-128, Lahore, he revealed in a video that is going viral on social media.
In the video, the singer, clad in a green shalwar kameez, can be seen greeting the viewers in his signature quirky style. He then announces in the video that he had submitted his nomination papers for the National Assembly's NA-128 constituency in Lahore.
Chahat, whose real name is Kashif Rana, had submitted his nomination papers though his lawyer.
