The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers staged protests against their own candidates in Multan on Friday.
The protestors demanded the party to take back the ticket from Sheikh Tariq Rasheed in PP-217. The PML-N workers urged the party to award the ticket to Akhtar Alam Qureshi from PP-217.
Earlier, Sheikh Tariq Rasheed was awarded the party ticket for the provincial seat following the seat adjustment in NA-149.

Separately, the PML-N had decided to award the Senate ticket to Talal Chaudhry.
The party had also decided to award the tickets for two provincial seats to Talal Chaudhry. Sources revealed that Talal Chaudhry’s father, Ashraf Chaudhry, will contest the elections from PP-101.
From PP-100, Khan Bahadur, who was nominated by Talal Chaudhry, will contest the elections from PP-100.
According to the sources, Talal Chaudhry had been informed about the party’s decision.
