In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship and solidarity, Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has gifted a generous cash prize of PKR 10 lakh to track and field sensation Arshad Nadeem.
The gesture comes in recognition of Nadeem's outstanding achievements, including his gold medal win at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and his remarkable runner-up finish at the World Athletics Championships.
Arshad Nadeem achieved a historic milestone when he clinched the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games with a record-breaking javelin throw of 90.18 meters.

This remarkable feat marked only the second time in history that an Asian athlete had surpassed the 90-meter mark in this discipline.
Nadeem's extraordinary talent was further highlighted at the World Athletics Championships, where he secured the silver medal with a throw of 86.16 meters, narrowly trailing behind India's Neeraj Chopra.
Ahmed Shehzad, a seasoned opening batter who made his international debut in 2009, has been out of the national cricket squad since 2019 when Pakistan faced Sri Lanka in a T20I match in Lahore. Despite a career marked by moments of brilliance, Shehzad's sporadic performances have kept him away from the national team, making a return in the foreseeable future seem unlikely.
Among all formats, the 31-year-old cricketer boasts his most impressive numbers in One Day Internationals (ODIs), amassing 2605 runs at an average of 32.56, including six centuries and 14 half-centuries.
