Interim Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai on Tuesday said five militants were neutralised after security forces successfully thwarted three terror attacks in Mach town last night.
Security forces deployed in Balochistan had thwarted three coordinated attacks launched by terrorists using rockets and sophisticated weapons in Mach town on Monday night. It is pertinent to note that Mach is located some 70km from the provincial capital.
As per reports, Achakzai had initially attributed the attack to terrorists affiliated with the Aslam Acho group, responsibility was later claimed by the Majeed Brigade of the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
The number of people killed in terrorist attacks in Bolan has increased to five including SHO Police Station Mach and railway police personnel along with three civilians including a child.
In Maach, the security forces have successfully thwarted three coordinated attacks carried out by terrorists affiliated with the Aslam Acho group. Fortunately, no damage was inflicted on any installations, and there were no casualties among our security forces.

Around 10 people including five policemen were injured in the terrorist attacks. “Terrorists targeted forces' Camp Mach Jail and police stations,” security officials said.

The statement reads: "It is even more concerning that this illegal act has taken place despite the existence of several channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran. Pakistan's strong protest has already been lodged with the concerned senior official in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.
