Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday vowed to ensure the people’s rights if voted into power.
Addressing the public gathering in DI Khan, Nawaz Sharif said: ''He took a swipe at the political opponents, saying, ‘’The tabdeeli had harmed the country, where the roti is available at Rs 25.’’
At the outset of his speech, the three-time prime minister asked the people to vote for his party, saying, ‘’Had no idea that Haroonabad would break all previous records of the public gathering.’’
Nawaz Sharif recounted the tenure of the PML-N, saying, ‘’In our tenure, the price of petrol, sugar, and the dollar were in control and cheaper. But now the prices are inflated.’’
He said, ‘’The price of urea was fixed at Rs 1,300, which had now reached Rs 5,000.
‘’In our times, the prices of medicines were too cheap, and medical treatment was given for free. We had also bid farewell to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Today, the price of the greenback had reached Rs280,’’ Nawaz Sharif stated.
Taking a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said, ‘’The PTI founder had compelled the nation to beg. They [PTI] indulged in attacking the military installation.’’
