In a recent development following the verdict in the Toshakhana case, ex-husband of Bushra Bibi Khawar Maneka chose on Wednesday to remain tight-lipped about the legal repercussions faced by his former spouse.
Earlier, the accountability court handed a 14-year imprisonment sentence to former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, along with a hefty fine and a 10-year disqualification from holding public office.
Khawar Maneka, who has been maintaining silence for the past five years, emerged from the Islamabad High Court after the verdict was reserved in the Iddat Nikah case of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

Journalists bombarded him with questions regarding Bushra Bibi's punishment in the Tosha Khana case, to which he responded, "I have left my matter to Allah."
Addressing the media, Khawar Maneka expressed his detachment from the legal proceedings, stating, "Whether the punishment is being done or not, I have nothing to do with it. She has been with me for 28 years, and after so many years, no one is asking what she did to me. I have been silent for five years, but I have left my case to Allah."
When questioned about his thoughts on Bushra Bibi's punishment, Khawar Maneka emphasized that he has no involvement in the Tosha Khana matter and cannot pass judgment on whether it was right or wrong. He added, "I do not speak against anyone; the law itself is determining these things."
Highlighting the personal impact on his life, Khawar Maneka pointed out the lack of inquiries about the welfare of his children, saying, "After 28 years, she left me and the children. Why does no one ask me what will happen to my children?"
In response to the pending Iddat Nikah case, Khawar Maneka expressed uncertainty about the outcome, stating, "I don't know whether justice will be served or not, but I am leaving it to Allah."
