Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed on Wednesday apologised to former cricketer Asad Shafiq after a heated exchange during the match in the Sindh Premier League (SPL).
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), “I am extremely apologetic for my behaviour in the field today. I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did in the heat of the moment. I’ve apologised to Asad Shafiq.”

Separately, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Wednesday acknowledged the spinners’ quality in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Speaking to a Bangladeshi website, Azam shed light on his cover drive, saying, “I had worked hard on my cover drive as this shot is my strength and will help me bag confidence.’’
He was of the view that Asian batters have to face challenges playing in New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa. ‘’The only solution to all problems is to prepare yourself for the bounce and pace.’’
