In a subtle yet significant move on the official Royal Family website, it seems the Windsors have sent a clear signal about their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Since stepping down from their senior royal positions, the couple has been at the center of various speculations regarding their ties with the monarchy.
Despite the major changes within the Royal Family, the official website has been discovered with notable mistakes, raising eyebrows about whether these were inadvertent errors or a deliberate message to the Sussexes.
Last August, media outlets, including Express.co.uk, highlighted that the late Queen Elizabeth II was still referred to as the monarch at least 74 times, and Prince Harry retained his HRH (His Royal Highness) title on the website.
While some corrections were made by royal aides, several discrepancies were left unattended. One striking modification, however, was the rearrangement of the order of royal family members, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle conspicuously moved to the end, just above disgraced royal Prince Andrew but below the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams expressed his views to the Express, stating that these errors "give the impression of being out of touch."
Fitzwilliams further remarked, "Their biographies really should either be updated, or alternatively exist in name only. There is no way that these reflect current events, and this obviously reflects on the website as a whole."
The strategic positioning of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the website has sparked speculation about the intentions behind these changes. Some interpret it as a subtle dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, suggesting that the Royal Family may consider them "out of touch" and not worthy of immediate attention to update their profiles.
