Abdul Aleem Khan, President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), held rallies in two Lahore constituencies, PP-149 and NA-117, outlining his vision for development and service.
Appearing before enthusiastic crowds, Khan highlighted his past achievements and pledged to continue working for the betterment of the people.
In a heartfelt speech at Griffin Ground in Lahore, Abdul Aleem Khan, took a trip down memory lane, reflecting on his promises and the development initiatives undertaken in the constituency. Recalling his commitment from 2002 and 2003 to serve the people, he expressed pride in fulfilling his pledges, stating, “I can proudly say that all development work has been done in this constituency.”
“Everything is because of your prayers.” He recounted development projects undertaken like hospitals, roads, and dispensaries, and pledged to continue serving through his sons if he's unable to.
Assuring the continuity of service, Aleem Khan addressed the audience, stating, “As long as there is Aleem Khan, I will continue to serve you all.” He shared his vision for the constituency’s future, pledging to make it the most modern area. He highlighted the establishment of numerous filtration plants, addressing the scarcity of clean drinking water.
In a significant pledge, Abdul Aleem Khan outlined key initiatives aimed at benefiting the constituents. These promises include providing free electricity up to three hundred units for workers, ensuring a minimum salary of 50,000 units for laborers, offering motorcyclists half-priced petrol, and providing farmers with free tubewell electricity for up to 12 acres.
Expressing gratitude for the people’s trust, he stated, “I have a relationship of service with the people.” He also outlined plans to open dispensaries in all Union Councils, emphasizing his commitment to reach every household personally.
Khan emphasized his personal connection to the community, saying, “This is not my constituency but my family.” He claimed to have served “in people’s homes” and reached out to “every pain.” He even mentioned reaching those who cannot earn through his foundation.
In another gathering at Farrukhabad, Aleem Khan continued his passionate address, expressing his disappointment with the lack of basic facilities in Shahdara. He pledged to solve sewage problems and address issues related to gas and electricity shortages.
He defended his integrity, saying, “There is no stain of corruption on the one who spent 22 years in the Houses.” He emphasized solving problems alongside Samiullah Khan, aiming to win with the “eagle and lion” symbols. He urged the constituents to come out in large numbers on election day, promising continued service for the next five years.
Khan urged voters to bring out young women and the elderly, highlighting their importance. He promised special programs for mothers and sisters, recognizing their concerns.
The IPP president concluded his speeches with a call for unity, hard work, and the slogan, "Kashmir will become Pakistan." His addresses reflected a mix of nostalgia, promises, and a vision for a prosperous and developed constituency.
