Representatives from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) met on Saturday to discuss the formation of a potential coalition government following the recent national elections.
According to the declaration issued on Saturday, the meeting, held by the coordination committees of both parties, involved detailed discussions on proposals presented by each side. No official agreements were reached, but both parties agreed to reconvene on Monday for further deliberation.
The statement emphasized the importance of a strong democratic government in ensuring a stable Pakistan. Both the PML-N and PPP believe collaboration is crucial to achieving this goal.
The PML-N delegation was led by prominent figures like Senator Ishaq Dar and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar and Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, while the PPP delegation included senior members like Murad Ali Shah and Qamar Zaman Kaira, Saeed Ghani and Nadeem Afzal Chan. Both sides included experienced politicians with diverse backgrounds.
The next meeting on Monday is expected to focus on finalizing recommendations and potentially paving the way for a formal coalition agreement.
