The FIA Taskforce on Friday, in a successful raid, arrested an accused and recovered a huge quantity of spurious drugs from their possession.
Raiding team was headed by Muhammad Javed Sultan Assistant Director, comprising Nayyar Tirmazi and Gul Shahnaz Akram Assistant Directors, Mudassar Watto Inspector, Kamran Zesshan Sub Inspector , Mohsin Ali FC, along alongwith Drug Inspectors Sheroz Malik and Hassan Haider Shah.
The team, on tip-off conducted a raid at Sure Save Pharmay Punjab Socity Main Bulwvard Ghazi Road, Lahore.
During the action, a heavy quantity of unregistered or smuggled drugs was recovered. Pharmacy has been sealed and an FIR registered against the proprietor, manager, and salesman brother of the proprietor of the pharmacy.
One salesman has been arrested, and five days of physical remand have been obtained. Efforts are being made to recover the unregistered drugs and arrest the other accused persons, said a spokesman for the FIA.
