The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) took a pace to wrap up cases in a bid to provide speedy justice to the masses who approached the apex court to settle their affairs.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard 10 cases today (Friday) wherein the divisional bench disposed of seven out of ten cases, while in two cases notices were issued to the parties.
The apex court accepted the request to adjourn the hearing in a case due to the lawyer's absence
Two applications were disposed of on grounds of withdrawal and one as ineffective.

In January this year, Justice Qazi Faez Isa had stressed the need to deliver speedy justice to the people.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa said that the impression among them that it takes decades for courts to reach a decision needs to be revised.
“People are facing different types of difficulties when their cases are heard in courts as they mostly believe that decisions are handed in after decades,” Justice Isa said while addressing a seminars organised arranged by the Punjab Bar Council and the Lahore High Court Bar Association.
