Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has set ambitious targets for all ministries, outlining comprehensive plans spanning 100 days, 90 days, and five years during a federal cabinet meeting on Saturday.
Emphasizing a proactive approach to governance, he underscored that performance evaluations will be conducted on both monthly and quarterly bases to ensure accountability and progress tracking.
Addressing the cabinet, PM Sharif reiterated his commitment to closely monitoring ministry performances, stating his intention to personally engage with ministries to review their progress.
"I will sit with the ministries and review their performance," Shehbaz stressed.

He also indicated the necessity of another program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Moreover, Prime Minister Sharif briefed the cabinet that following the deadly Bisham attack, which killed five Chinese nationals and a local, he personally visited the Chinese embassy. He pledged severe punishment for those involved in the attack, demonstrating the government's determination to address security threats and uphold diplomatic relations.

The prime minister also announced that Pakistan will not sit peacefully until terrorism is eradicated.
Also, the federal cabinet approved the constitution of an inquiry commission to investigate the letter of six judges from the Islamabad High Court, according to sources familiar with the matter. It was also decided that a retired chief justice of the Supreme Court will lead the commission.
Sources within the federal cabinet indicated that there is a consensus to appoint former chief justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani as the head of the commission.
