The Punjab government on Saturday decided to launch a grand operation against the power theft, smugglers, and hoarders.
According to details, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting. On this occasion, a one-month deadline was given to end the menace of power theft.
The concerned officials will be held responsible if they fail to stop the practice of power theft.
CM Maryam had made it clear to bring the power thefts to justice and arrest them immediately.
Strict action will also be taken against the public officials if they are found involved in the power theft.

Few days back, CM Maryam vowed zero tolerance for the hoarders.
Addressing the press conference at the CM House in Lahore, CM Maryam said: “The Punjab government has no way of price controlling. There is a need for a system for price control.”
“I have given clear instructions to bring improvements to the mechanism of price control. Relief during the month of Ramazan is given around the globe. Unfortunately, in our country, the prices are exorbitant, ”she added.
She made it clear that creating employment opportunities is part of the agenda.
“We will not let anybody spread unrest under the guise of politics. No leniency will be shown towards such people,” CM Maryam said.
