Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz shares in the spirit of Easter, extending her greetings to the Christian community and recognizing the values of mercy, forgiveness, and love embodied in the festival. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur joins in celebrating Easter, emphasizing the importance of equal rights for all minorities in Pakistan and the teachings of Islam regarding their treatment. As per Christian religious beliefs, Easter is one of the central holidays, or Holy Days, of Christianity to honor the ‘Resurrection of Jesus’ three days after His death by crucifixion. For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful conclusion to the Lenten season of devoted prayer, fasting, and penitence.
