Govt and military efforts to revive the nation's economy and tackle the power crisis are bearing fruit, as revealed by recent developments.
In a robust crackdown on electricity theft, a staggering Rs84 billion have been recovered nationwide, with over 62 thousand individuals apprehended for the crime.
During the period from March 24th to 31st, authorities collected Rs1.05 billion from electricity thieves in key cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad. Additionally, Rs0.599 billion were retrieved from regions such as Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Quetta, and other unincorporated areas.
Moreover, 241 individuals involved in electricity theft were arrested across the country during this period.
The concerned institutions are resolute in their determination to sustain these operations until electricity theft is completely eradicated nationwide.
