The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) candidates said on Sunday that the party will not allow rigging in the by-polls.
Speaking to media in Lahore, the PTI-backed SIC candidate from NA-119, Shahzad Farooq, claimed: "The police are harnessing our workers. The workers have been picked up from outside the polling stations."
He took a swipe at the opponents, saying, "They have petrified of by-polls. We will also emerge victorious against them in by-polls."
"There are many polling stations where the SIC polling agents are not allowed to sit," he claimed.
Farooq stated: "Our polling agents have been forcefully evicted. The open ballot boxes have been brought to the various polling stations."
Meanwhile, the PTI-backed candidate from PP-149, Hafiz Zeeshan, said: "We will take our results by visiting the RO office."
Zeeshan questioned: "Tell us why the mobile and internet services have been suspended?"
