A local court has sent the woman, accused of engaging in an altercation with the motorway police and running over an official, to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
The court of District Magistrate Dr Muhammad Mumtaz Hinjara in Rawalpindi has ordered the arrested woman to be produced before the court again on May 9.
The woman was arrested by the Rawalpindi police from Islamabad a day ago. A case has been registered against her in the Naseerabad police station on charges of verbal abuse, interfering with traffic, attempted murder and speeding. On January 1, the accused escaped from the highway patrol officer Kotkar at the toll plaza.

The woman was arrested from Islamabad and shifted to Rawalpindi for further investigation. On January 1, the woman had rammed her vehicle into a Motorway Police officer at the toll plaza. Videos of the heated argument and her hitting the vehicle with the officer went viral on social media recently.
The accused woman had fled from the spot after hitting the police officer with a vehicle. She abused the police officer before hitting the vehicle.
A case was registered against the woman in Nasirabad police station on the complaint of the Motorway Police personnel.
