The government and military leadership decided to further tighten the noose around the hoarders in a bid to revive the country's economy.
During the crackdown against hoarding, the concerned institutions recovered 26989.846 metric tonnes of urea. About 2420.78 metric tonnes of wheat had been recovered.
The authorities had also recovered 55215.76 metric tonnes of ghee and 10021.85 metric tonnes of sugar.
From March to onwards, 510 successful operations against hoarding had been conducted. Out of which, 2154.36 metric tonnes of urea, 60.42 metric tonnes of wheat, 53260 metric tonnes of ghee, and 2155.39 metric tonnes of sugar were recovered in nine operations.
During the month of April, the concerned institutions conducted 85 successful operations against hoarding.
Meanwhile, the government and military leadership had resolved to end the menace of hoarding from the country and will continue crackdown in this regard.
