Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that the economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have entered a new era, and that the role of Pakistanis in the development and prosperity of Saudi Arabia has been very important.
During a meeting with Saudi Commerce Minister Majed Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi in Riyadh, Prime Minister Sharif said that the economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have entered a new era and in the coming days, many steps will be taken to increase the volume of trade between the two countries.

The PM said that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Pakistan is fully active in promoting foreign investment and providing facilities to investors.

The Saudi minister said that according to the clear instructions of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, the country was giving Pakistan priority in terms of investment and trade. A delegation of the Saudi business community and investors would visit Pakistan soon, he added.
He also said that goals were being set to take the economic and trade relations of the two countries to new heights in the next year and a half. There was a need to highlight the feelings of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan's friendship among the youth of both countries.

Earlier, Bill Gates met with Prime Minister Sharif on the sidelines of the special session of the World Economic Forum. He praised the immunization and polio program under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif as the Punjab chief minister and suggested expanding it across the country.
Shehbaz reiterated his commitment to continue working with Bill Gates.
