Leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab chapter met with party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at Zardari House in Islamabad and nominated Sardar Saleem Haider for the appointment of the next Punjab Governor.
SAMAA TV reported that a notification of the appointment of the governor is likely to be issued today.
Leaders of the PPP Punjab chapter including Raja Pervez Ashraf, Hassan Murtaza, and Shehzad Saeed Cheema participated in the meeting.
Sardar Salim Haider and Nadeem Afzal Chan also joined the meeting.
The leaders nominated Sardar Saleem Haider for the appointment of the Governor of Punjab. “I am being made the Governor of Punjab,” Sardar Salim Haider said.
