Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said that each player will be awarded $100,000 if Pakistan win the T20 World Cup.
According to details, Naqvi held a meeting with the officials and players at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The PCB chief stayed with the players for two hours, where he talked about the playing strategy with the cricketers.
"There is no worth to the prize I announced in front of Pakistan's victory. Hopefully, you [players] will bring pride to the country this time around," Naqvi said.
He urged the players to play the game without any fear. "You should ensure to play for Pakistan by putting the team to work," Naqvi said.
Naqvi rallied behind Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, saying, "Shaheen Shah Afridi will perform with verve in the World Cup."
"We are promoting domestic cricket at the school and university level."
He acknowledged the performances of wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and pacer Naseem Shah. Naqvi awarded a special green shirt to Rizwan for completing 3000 runs in T20Is.
